Well the game plan was to go from my house to Utica and back. The group I ride with didn't really want to come since the weather was taking forever to warm up. My buddy Dave called and we were pushing the idea of going anyways but we called it off. When he called it was still 35 degrees at 11am. Too cold!!
Later, my other friend Jim instant messaged me who is the process of breaking in his bike. He asked how my ride was and I said it was too cold in the morning but it's warmer out now. Temp was around 50 degrees and bright sun. He rode over and we cruised over to Lemont , IL. We did some dirt back roads up and down the I&M canal. We also cruised under the new part of I-355 since there were no signs against it. You don't realize how high that bridge is until your under it.
I only did 35 miles which was fine considering I needed a short run to check over the little modifications that were done over this forever lasting Winter!!

Kid's get their first gas bike..
Well after two years of riding their Razor dirt bike and four wheeler it was time to make the move for a gas bike with a transmission. We were leaning towards the older Z50 but they are WAY over priced due to collectors. I was bidding on a 1977 z50 that needed at least two hundred dollars in work and it closed at four hundred dollars.
I was very lucky to give craigslist a shot last Monday and their was a 2005 crf70 going for seven hundred and ninety five dollars and stated in good condition. went out Tuesday and bought it. I did knock down the price to seven hundred and sixty due to it would not idle and the chain is on its last days.
It was a hard choice to buy this since the kids say they want things just have them. also my son the older (he is 8 and my daughter is 7) of the two has never showed interest toward two wheels, he's been the four wheeler boy. Turned out to be a great choice because he rode it for quite sometime before I kicked him off so my girl could go out on it. I hope it has a lasting impression on them like it has forever impressed into me. Here's the Pic's!!!!!
Carb off!
Bowl off and the idle jet was solid. The bowl was pretty clean for having a jet plugged.
Garrett getting used to smoothing out throttle control.
Kira zooming by. Shes fast and pretty good but got bit by going up a hill with too much speed and turning. Proceeded by a low side down the back half of the hill that was covered in tall weeds.
Shes OK but here knee was hurting. She'll be back on it tomorrow. Also eye protection will be used once the bugs come out and shes on the trails with me.
He's ditching the electric bike for the gas bike.
poor bike still good but the thing is too small now:( It looks sad sitting there by itself!
