It's about that time I get the bikes washed for maybe the last time. Life has once again been kicked into the high stress gear since baby number four arrived September 23rd. So I sit with two boys and two girls and everyone is perfectly healthy and short of sleep! LOL...
My hope is this one is the speed demon I was as a child and wants to have a motor attached to what he wishes. My oldest boy Garrett was a little into his CRF70 along with my second girl Kira till Garrett had a little mess up and launched himself over the bars and broke his hand. After that neither wanted anything to do with the bike and it became my wheelie bike, Time will tell how if number four want's to play fast.
As for the KLR she needs a chain and sprocket set at 21K and to be honest I though it would last longer but the links are really stiff. The ZX-10R is going to have the seat redone over at Sargent seats around Christmas. The RD400 will get a new set of tires and a complete front brake rebuild and a new master cylinder. I have problem trusting a 37 year old master cylinder. Besides the brake switch stuck off on me and I was almost plowed by a minivan who didn't see me slowing to turn into my neighborhood and never mind my hand in the air signaling a right turn. It was a pretty close shave and I just remember out of the corner of my eye seeing both front tires locked up and smoking. :O
The chill and the Chili are back at the Serena Cafe
Just remember: If your not enjoying life your doing it wrong!!
Godspeed to Marco Simoncelli from Motogp.

The last few weeks
Every year around this time I get the bug to ride as much as I can. Summer is ending and I always have rides that were put off. The Colorado trip was a HUGE bummer but the last few weeks have been really special.
A simple ride to the Peoria TT races and another visit to Tower Park..
Hope you like heights!!!
A little break coming home from the TT. The thumpers were really buzzing our hands from cruising the slab for so long.
Second little trip was all back roads to my uncles lake house but with the catch of my 11 year old daughter hanging on. Total trip was 485 miles and 13+ hours and she did great. Of course there was complaining but I expected all that.
sneaking a picture up on the grass and me in the cornfield to get the shot.
Lots of fishing and a great time hanging out with my cousin and Aunt.
Some little town with there own Hydro-power plant.
A stop at aunt judys.
And this weekend at the Springfield mile .
Of course the plate that every KLR owner wants but I never though I would see it. How weird is that ??
Pan shot of the mile and it's oval not D shaped

get the trucks off of RT-129 Deals Gap
The terrain and layout of US Highway 129 is mountainous with multiple sharp curves, many outside the limits of tractor trailer vehicles' maneuverability. Because of this, the driver of the tractor trailer must compensate for the curves by utilizing the lane of oncoming traffic. This action often times results in vehicles being ran off the road, wrecks, and fatalities. Such a fatality occurred on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Dwight "Ike" Woodard, a seasoned, experienced, and habitually safe rider, was enjoying a ride with friends on his Triumph Speed Triple. According to law enforcement reports, a tractor trailer rig attempting to utilize US Highway 129 failed to maintain it's lane in a series of curves. The tractor trailer rig crossed into Ike's lane of travel, almost taking up his whole lane. Ike's motorcycle was ran over, but he survived. However, Ike lost his life en route to the hospital due to complications from the wreck.
